Djeneba Diakite

A Research Fellow 2020 at ChicagoCHEC. She is a rising senior at UIC pursuing a Biological Sciences major with a minor in French and Francophone Studies. A translator volunteer for victims of FGM, and an outreach volunteer at a Chicago based Non-for-profit for humanitarian relief. Her interests are in Public health, Minority health, Women's health, Maternal Health, and Global health. She is aspiring to become a physician with a specialty in Ob-Gyn to fill the gap of Black female physicians and serve the underserved communities. Her recent research experience on cancer equity had sparked her interest in disability health which lead her to join CDI.
